Also the cultural capital of Manlpur, it is a city with several monuments, temples & ceremonial places all talking about Imphal's rich past. Visit the Govindajee Temple (the historic Vaiahnavtte temple), Khwalramband Bazar or Ima Market (the largest women's market in India), the Konghampat Orchidarium (home to almost 110 species of finest orchids), Andro (an ancient cultural village) & the Japanese War Memorials.

Keibul Lamjao National Park - last natural habitat of the marsh-dwelling brow-antlered deer of Manipur called "Sangai".

Loktak Lake - the largest fresh water lake in the North East India. Watch the unique floating islands 'Phumdi' that are actually floating weeds on which people live. Take a glimpse into the fascinating way of living on these floating islands.
