Major attraction is the Semtokha Dzong one of the oldest Dzong in Bhutan besides numerous temples, dzongs, chortens, museums & handicraft stores. Punakha - Punakha hails to be linked with some of the most significant events in the Bhutanese history and also displays some of the magical beauties of Bhutan. Bumthang - Known as the spiritual heartland of Bhutan, the region also has mesmerising valleys and ancient glaciers. Trongsa - It is memorable for its pastoral feel with meadows offering grazing for sheep & yak and also a bird watchers delight. Mongar - Mongar is simply spectacular with stark cliffs, gorges and dense conifer forests. Mongar is famed for the 17th century ruin of Zhongar Dzong, the 16th Century Dramitse Lhakhang and the Aja Ney pilgrim site. Wangde Phodrang - The Dzong of Wangdue, built in 1639, lies on a ridge overlooking the Punatsangchu and Dangchu rivers. The region is ideal for its village visits to witness its cultural wonders.
